If you are a member of Facebook... You are just inviting exploitation in any way where they can make money from your information! This has been known for some time. Don't walk into a fenced yard with hungry wolves and then bitch when they attack you!

I wonder where the money from the fine will go... Into a Trump crony's pocket is my guess.

To Facebook it’s just the cost of doing business. They won’t change.

A-holes… And, I heard just today ...sure as shit - them constantly requesting ‘my phone number’ wasn’t for ‘security purposes’ - but for yet another nefarious scheme..

What can we do? I found, or ‘this place’ found me on FB 😕 Was wondering if someone else could come up with a ‘free book,’ free of the fb crap..? Keep it crude, just allow good people to have something to replace the worthwhile stuff we do get by participating with this behemoth..

I think 5 billion is not enough. How much did they make on it?

Reported today as over 55 billion in earnings last year.

OH...how INTERESTING...who got the 5 BILLION dollars...nobody's called me yet to share!!!

Who gets the money?

That's always the question. I've never seen a good answer.
On the Equifax credit hack their fine was paid out, mostly, in free credit reporting services to the people who were hacked. If you could prove damages due to identity theft ( I doubt that will ever happen) they could be responsible for up to 20 grand.

I'd be interested to know in whose pocket that 5 billion goes.

So does this mean that Facebook is going to cost money to use now? How are they going to retaliate?
