Well crap... I did it again. I accidentally pulled another all nighter. Thinking about the things going on in my life, worrying about things I really can't control, and then getting hooked on the internet and "just one more thing," I managed to stay up until the crack of dawn. And now if I try to nap I'm afraid I'll oversleep and miss my appointment in 5 hours.

Mr. Coffee, don't fail me now....

Yeah, I've taken to reading. Books not internet. Usually puts me to sleep unless of course it's a cliffhanger and then I just can't stop reading but eventually the pace does put me to sleep. A suggestion.

one of the curses of getting old..if i wake up too early & don't think i can get back to sleep i'll get up & have some grape or cherry juice with water & then read. most times i'll get back to sleep within a 1/2 hr or so. never go on the net.

I'm not that addicted but I do wake up almost every 2 hours. I got online once last night about midnight again. Maybe I should take provigil. (Generic is modafinil.) They say Trump has taken this for sleep apnea for years. Now you know the truth of "covfefe." 🙂

You got this! and for sleep hygiene, you know what needs to be done! if you want to do it- it will come!

heavy thoughts are the worst for sure. i know that lying on the bed staring at the ceiling feeling.

Sounds to me like you need to start doing some mental relaxation exercises at night to shut your brain down for awhile. Lots of options available on You Tube.
