I think nationalism is a good thing when you feel good about where you live. It's a bad thing when you bring down everyone that's not from where you live.

Nationalism is even in identifying as part of a nation...
We cal ultra nationalism when it gets toxic and out of control, but simply accepting that a parliament/chief of government, in a city that is far from you, that have no immediate ties with your family or close friends can rule over you because you are part of the same nation is already nationalism.
