They advertise back to school sales on TV! Come on! We're still in July for goodness sake! It's like Christmas sales in November! There should be laws against that!

I've seen Christmas ads in September but as an aside there is such a thing as summer school here

The kiddos in my area start near the first of August! Out West, we’d have another month.. I’m told it’s due to all the ‘snow days’ they’ll get up here on the ridge. And, they did get out ..way too soon. So around here - it’s Back to School stuff ~

I'm already back in school this last week. Teachers came back last Monday for professional development and students come back in a week. All schools in my area begin with students on August 4th.

In New Jersey, many schools start up again in late August. Many colleges do also.
