I remember when people used to say, "Don't believe everything you read," because, you know, people used to read. Books. Newspapers. Magazines.
The tv used to be called the boob tube or the idiot box. Today "The Learning Channel" is literally wall-to-wall episodes of "My 600lb Life" and "Dr. Pimple Popper". That's not a joke. Someone told me that online, and I checked. It was true. (I just checked right now, and it's a bunch of shows about dresses, teen moms, freakishly large families...I dunno. Weird crap that has nothing to do with learning about anything. Once again, capitalism shows us the way!)
People have lied forever. Check multiple sources and you might get to something resembling the truth. Information passes through so many people, so many filters.
Dropped cable awhile ago - my wife has never had it and was all "we ain't paying for that shit". Don't miss it a bit.
