Tarrentino's Latest Nonsense Film

Honestly, I don't know what I find more disgusting:

My loathing of religions and cults, and what they do.

My loathing of government security agencies and their licence to kill mentality without accountability, including illegal operations involving evil people.

Or

Hollywood's 50 year exploitation of a tragedy with no regard to the facts or the victims or their families.

In case anyone has forgotten who the real sweet person was, here's a reminder, two days before her murder.

All of Tarantino's films are filled with mindless violence. Had he not become a film maker, he might have become a serial killer!

Well,it is Hollywood, so I don't suppose we should expect reality.
In the article Sharon Tate is called " an army brat". What does that mean ?

Army Brats is an affectionate term used to describe children of military personnel. who moved around with their family. Sharon's father, Paul Tate, was a high ranking military intelligence officer, the family moved around a lot, in fact she spent her latter teenage years in Italy where her father was based, studied at military high schools, and she was fluent in Italian.

I certainly agree about Hollywood. Bad history peddlers for a century.

Hollywood does not sell films, it sells tickets and viewings, and that is all about its real product 'hype'. If people come out of the cinema saying. "That was rubbish." It makes no difference to the film industry.

If you are going to criticize someone, at least spell the name correctly. I saw the movie and I don't agree with the article one bit. The female writer of the article seems to have forgotten that there is always gruesome violence, that is a characteristic of Tarantino films, usually it's men who are the victims, much more than women, there are male characters who barely utter words, no lines, but their acting is great and nuanced, why no complaints there? Even Sharon Tate's sister loved Robbie's portrayal, that to me is an opinion that counts and not some female writer wannabe who wants to make a name for herself trashing a movie that has been praised by those who matter.

All I will say to you is that Debra Tate is a strange girl, and though I like some things she does, I do not others, like talking to her deceased family through "mediums" -- it's on YouTube. I know about this very well. She objects to movies sensationalizing Sharon's death, but after meeting with TARANTINO (are you satisfied?) she was OK with it. One might speculate why. I'll keep my own thoughts on that. If you think that this is the only article noting concerns about this movie about Sharon (and Bruce Lee -- another stereotyping injustice) then you have not researched as well as I have. Thank you.

@David1955 she's Sharon Tate's family, she knows her infinitely more than you. Have you seen other Tarantino films before? Chock full of stereotypes and also antistereotypes, that's the brilliance of his movies.

Regarding the "research", I read the full article you posted and had seen the movie, no need for research to comment based on my opinion and having seen all other Tarantino movies. If you researched so well as you say, why did you spell Tarantino's name wrong? You post here, people comment, that's how this site works. Not all the comments will agree with what you say. Mine doesn't.

@David1955, @Billboy my personal opinion, which seems to me concurs with the vast majority of film critics, the praises of the Cannes festival, and the people at the theater that clapped after the film ended, is that this is arguably Tarantino's best film to date. Oh, and regarding films or any other piece of art, I never let others influence wether I should see it or read it, that would be censoring myself based on the opinion of somebody else whom I might not even know or might have some kind of agenda. Works for me fine.

@Mofo1953 you're too petty to bother with. I've been here 2 years. Go away.

@David1955 wow two years, that makes you own the site? Tough shit dude, I never listen to intolerance.

@Mofo1953 I shouldn't bother with you, but here's another example of people who actually knew Sharon as a friend and how they feel about this movie.

There are more and more people coming out. Consistent with my decades research into this subject and the people at the centre of this story. These people, unlike Ms Debra Tate, I suspect, have not been "tipped"by Mr. TARANTINO.

I'm not trying to convince you. I can tell you are not the kind of person to modify a stance. I'm just supporting my view that it wasn't just one writer.

As for the "success' of this movie. Who cares. History's judgement, as always, will be the one that counts.

Good day

@David1955 you are right, you shouldn't have, lame!

You didn’t mention what you’re talking about. I’ve no idea who that person is or why her death is being exploited.

Well I guess I intended it for informed readers.

@ProudMerrie I thought he was taking the Mickey, so i replied in kind. 🙂

@David1955 yeah. I don’t read people magazine or pay any attention whatsoever to paparazzi style news. I’m not a celebrity or pop culture lover so you’ll have to forgive me for not recognizing a photo of a celebrity. Also I don’t follow the film world so I had no idea what that directors latest film was about.

@ProudMerrie I actually know as much as anyone who casually studies such things. I’ve read a book on it and watched all the documentaries. Seems many people get infatuated with the decade before they weee born. As you noticed , for me that was the 60’s
