They keep talking about the “traditional family...” i.e. the family as it looked in the 1950s. White, Mom at home in the kitchen, dad working and occasionally stepping out (because boys will be boys). The girl knew their places and didn't try for higher education, and when a boy raped a girl, it was the girl’s fault… Oh wait, that’s still true. So some of our family values are still in play.
Yet n the history of our species, the family has NEVER looked like that. And it’s frustrating that for whatever reason, they refuse to recognize that.
