So, life changing, age defining happening in my life today. I just got hearing aids. I can hear the keystrokes. OMG, my clothing is noisy! My light switches are loud!! My car radio was really loud! My microwave is more than annoying! And my ice maker, wow! How long has my car been making that noise? Am I really that loud? Oh, hello wind! This is gonna take some getting used to...

You need to adjust it. Don't have it on the highest volume.

another genetic thing. i served on the last canadian navy ship (the HMCS Sioux) which had 4" guns. i was on a gun crew loading those guns. they made a really loud noise when fired & i don't remember wearing ear protectors (just covered my ears with my hands) & my hearing is almost perfect.

My husband got his last year.

My roommate seriously needs to get hearing aids. I won’t be far behind him if I keep working with loud tools like impact wrenches and grinders.

Love it. I am glad you can hear the sounds of life once again, even if there may be an adjustment or two to overcome. Have fun with your new toy. 🙂
