There was a mass stabbing event when my brother's children were in HS. I haven't forgotten what that felt like.

This really is a problem that needs to be solved. Living in a constant state of fear just isn't healthy for any of us.

Glad he was caught before he did something. Very disturbing for you since he was so close to you and your family. It's something I think about every day when I drop my daughter off at school and while I'm at work.

Linda & I are just back from hiking through one of our local city parks. Getting in shape for our next trip. Trying out some new gear.... Ten years ago, I probably would not have: Carried a sidearm and extra magazines. Evaluated everyone we met on the trail as a potential threat. Constantly "checked our six" & scanned the forest for threats. Now, it seems second nature. Interesting times here in the Gunfighter Nation.

Shootings weren’t a thing when I was teaching in the mid eighties, but we had several bomb threats called in. The assistant principal would tell me to “look around for anything unusual” - I was always thinking - this isn’t what I’m getting paid to do

I remember when ‘hijackings’ were in ..now this. Seems more than a trend, and a sick way of ‘putting anyone’s town on the map.’ Needs to end, but a nation too confused by lies apparently can’t figure it out (Vote Democrat - No Matter what!)

Not often I’m glad to be British these days, but at least that isn’t a worry here.

Practically every shooter can be identified beyond the shadow of a doubt, with plenty of witnesses and often video . . . when that is the case, and there is irrefutable evidence, the community should immediately and publicly put them in front of a firing squad and shoot them, and they should be excoriated by the media . . . something that the media has been very inadequate in doing, instead, they have been posting their photos, over an over, which then attracts more idiots to try it. This nonsense goes on because it is tolerated by citizens and the media, the media is complicit as long as it fails to show these bastards for the cowards they are.

It is so upsetting when we have lockdown drills at school. Really painful. And how scary for you! Stay safe, or as safe as you can in this crazy world.
