Ok, not ALL their money was earned that way.
But the idea of these folks telling YOU "true believers" that increasing taxes on "the rich" will solve income inequality is ludicrous. But hey!
We all have our own mythology. Carry on. 👌😎

I think it takes those in power to change things. When sanders and other wealthy people speak up about the inequalities I think it can make a difference. The problem isnt no one should be wealthy, it's those who give welfare for the rich thru lower taxes and tax loop holes. And crazy changes like corporations are individuals.

I have to say that just listing a bunch of mansions and use them as an argument against “income equality “ is so tremendously simplistic!! I invite you to read this article and rise above sensationalistic posts.

Good article.

Talk about hypocrisy! 🤪😜🤣

What I think is amusing is all the true believers here who think these folks are paying their "fair share" in taxes. I love that self righteous term!! "Fair share"... what do you suppose that means?? 😆

Since when wasn’t a politician full of shit.

There is nothing wrong with some people becoming rich, or being born rich. The problem is when the rich do not want to pay their fair share in taxes and game the system so it benefits them above everyone else. One role of government is to "promote the general welfare." This means promote policies that help everyone--not just those with money and influence. And, making money off of money is part of a gamed system--it is not about earning it via hard work.

"Making money off of money"....
Are you referring to the stock market?

@bigpawbullets Yes. And, it isn't that people other than the rich cannot make money off the stock market; but it is rigged to mostly benefit those with the most money to throw around. They can make money when stocks go up--and when they go down. And, it is been shown again and again that many brokers look our for their interests more than those of their clients. This form of "income" needs to be taxed at a higher rate than income earned from labor.

🙄
Note, however, that they are rich folks who are happy to pay their share in taxes instead of selling you a story where giving MORE money back to billionaires will “trickle down” to the rest of us .
