Saying 'we prefer trade peace' is not what most would consider a massive humiliation to trump ... just a statement of the bleeding obvious. nobody wants a trade war, but sometimes shit happens ... trump and advisors, rightly or wrongly thinks the imbalance between USA - China trade needs adjusting ..... there are probably better ways to fix it, with less disruption across the world..
but it could be the best way to bring down capitalism
