I don't remember him. Dan Rather was the news reader I remember because we only got one tv station where I grew up unless it was really cloudy then we got PBS as well.

My sister used to call the television "The Cronkite." I guess my parents had him on nightly.

I found him to be a boring pompous newsreader.In 1972 he warned of a new ice age .AND THATS THE WAY IT WAS .Remember .I preferred Huntley and Brinkley over him any day

Cronkite,Huntley and Brinkley and others. Those days are gone, never to return.
