My presumption, or ASSUMPTION, is that members of Agnostic are progressive, or liberal in their politics. So is everyone here a Democrat? OR how many are Independent? Are any members of LAMS Republican? We in LA are having an election of many offices on Oct. 12 and I attended what could be called a Democratic Rally on Sunday where many candidates spoke to the assembled crowd including John Bel Edwards. If you don't mind, share your affiliation, perhaps who will get your vote, etc.

Being agnostic or atheist doesn't necessarily defines one's political affiliation.

That's why I posted and asked questions. As BD66 posted there is a Conservative Atheists group.

I will vote for anyone running against the trumpster fire

You will probably find many here embrace a broad churchl simply because the mind set, for the most part, revolves around critical thinking, which is why they take an agnostic position.

As with all social groups there is a broad mix but for the most part people will discuss and argue rather than indoctrinate and pontificate.

I consider myself a liberal pragmatic progressive and Warren is my first choice in this race. I will, however, vote for whomever is on the Dem ticket in 2020. I was a conservative Republican from Reagan to GW; but in the years leading up to GW's first term I had left organized religion and was moving toward becoming an atheist. It was during GW's presidency that I really began to question some things politically. When McCain chose Palin as a running mate, I knew I was done with the Republican Party. I have voted straight Democrat since 2008. It isn't that I don't think the Dems need to do some house cleaning--they do; but, like it or not, we have a two party system. And, even with their problems, they, overall, are a much better choice than any Rethuglican or wasting a vote on a candidate that has no chance of winning. In normal times a protest or purity vote is fine; but, these are not "normal" times.

Yes, I agree that when McCain chose ("I can see Russia from my house." ) Palin, it was a sign of things to come. I worry that the Brazilian President (Prime Minister?) is also a sign that more emotionally troubled people will get into high offices.

I'd say 80% to 90% of the people on this site are politically liberal, and most of them are likely Democrats. If you would like to meet the 10% to 20% of the people on this site who are conservative, go to the Conservative Atheists group.

I'll start out by saying I am a Democrat (in a sea of Republicans) and will vote for Darrell Fairburn for my Senate District 12, Cindy Winch for my Representative District 74, Marguerite Green for AG Commissioner because she's the only one mentioning cannabis, Gwen Collins Greenup as Secretary of State, to mention a few. Billy Nungesser wants to put a hotel in Fountainebleau Park, so I'm voting for Willie Jones for Lt. Governor.
