Consider the source. (gun worship)

I would vote a given party to keep a shittier party out of power... it is called strategic voting... it is why I voted liberal in my provincial elections to try and keep cons out of power (it didn't work sadly)

So it's the money that moves you? Funny then that you don't post that back in Sept. 2017 Trump signed a bill increasing the debt ceiling. Later that same day, the debt exceeded $20T for the first time in U.S. history. Last February, Trump signed a bill suspending the debt ceiling until March 1, 2019. It was $22T by that time. $1.5 T of that was in the form of a tax cut for the wealthy and a two year spending deal that will increase it further.

You can even see it increase in real time by going here and watching the national debt clock keep track -- [usdebtclock.org]

Want to crow some more about Republican fiscal leadership?

What a ridiculous comparison! These states are so different you can’t isolate the political persuasion. Find two states that have more constants and less variables.

Illinois is far from a hole. Indiana is not exactly a paradise. Nevertheless, the important thing to remember is the current governor of Illinois just took over from a Republican in January of this year so needs to dig out from the Republicans who always leave deficits.

Seems a bit cherry picked, considering where the national deficit is at now under Republican leadership, and the fact that the only times recently when the deficit goes down is under democratic leadership. So why would you vote Republican? No disrespect, open to a response

You understand why they have a surplus, right? Also, they had a $600 Million deficit with Pence as Governor.

The reason for the surplus is a lack of spending on the essentials, such as education, healthcare, and the environment to name a few (a sacrifice, which is very Christian and detrimental to society). Ranked 36 out of 50. [usnews.com]
These rankings aren't something to brag about. Mismanagement of tax dollars works both ways. One can screw up and over spend while the other cuts services needed to function and pockets the rest for a rainy day... nevermind the deluge that is going on at that moment.

Also, where are you getting those numbers? At best Indiana is showing a $410 million surplus [nwitimes.com] and Illinois is $3.2 billion [chicagobusiness.com]
Your numbers are disingenuous and ignore that Illinois has a Republican Governor, but he likely inherited the deficit as well. Anyhow, tribal politics is unbecoming because it's not like sports. You truly should think for yourself rather than pop a hard on for inaccurate memes like so many low information voters throughout our country.

By the way, scroll down that usnews to see the top 5 states: WA, NH, MN, UT, and VT. 3 blue states, 1 swing state, and one red state by virtue of Mormonism (we all know how that's working out... kid didler religious leaders, domestic violence, religion in politics on a massive scale, and a plethora of secret things that we may never know about behind the Mormon veil.

You would do better selecting other states. Just don't select North Dakota because they eliminated property taxes thinking the oil boom there was going to last forever...oops.

@josh_is_exciting
Hence my comment about the governor inheriting the deficit. Words matter.

@josh_is_exciting
Also way to ignore all the info and only focus on a single politician. It's poor form.

the only reason i can think of is that they aren't republicans at this point. pretty much all i need actually.
