Today we've all seen several posts about 9-11. The ones that anger me are the ones that talk about how everyone in the country was on the same page on 9-12. That's bullshit because attacks of one kind or another were already being committed against anyone even suspected of being a Muslim. There were several pages and some weren't even reading the same book.

I had to defend one of my employees from racist assholes on the 12th. From that day on, I only scheduled him to work when I was working so I could keep him safe. There was a lot of unity, but it wasn't universal.

I think if you didn't turn into a hater it's easy to think more about how much folks were helping each other.

There were also communities who stood up for their Muslim residents when the haters started.

Probably worth Googling that too.

You are correct. We were not all on the same page. In Colorado an Indian Sikh was killed because of rage against Muslims. I'm sure there were other cases also. Just Google and follow it.
