This is fascinating. I did some additional reading and now I understand the prohibition against masturbation that is pushed by the church. Kellogg and the entire Christian world (at least in America) do not understand the sin here. In many cultures if a brother dies it is the duty of the living brother to impregnate the widow so there will be children in that family. Onan did not obey.

There is no particular sin in masturbation. The church simply needed some verbal word salad to induce guilt and shame in something nearly everyone would do. Now you have near unanimous guilt and shame and the few who escape them have neurosis instead. All good for the slave masters/con men.

Given the theoretical time, I doubt whether or not she "enjoyed" it was a consideration. Given that it is an artists rendering, I am sure it is influenced by the belief system of the artist. Whether or not it is rape is not clear, she may have felt there was no other option, and honestly having that baby would have ensured her future so she may have consented. I don't think either of them necessarily enjoyed it.

They don’t teach any of the X rated stuff in the Old Testament in Sunday school. Children would run screaming away from that nastiness! When I read it in college, I ran away screaming to atheism.
