Here I Stand And Face The Rain!

This morning the weather has taken a dramatic turn for the worst....from 26 degrees C, and wall to wall sunshine all week, to torrential rain and gloom here, even at almost 10am. Listening to my favourite band always makes me feel better, and I can rely on them to have a song from their vast repertoire to cover all events, moods, seasons, and weather conditions....so here this morning is the appropriately titled Here I Stand And Face The Rain from their very first album Hunting High And Low released in 1985, and from which Take On Me first brought them worldwide acclaim.

Thank you for the weather update. I pay attention to what happens on the other side of the globe. Weather comes around, you know? We like to think that it is local, but we do live on a globe,, and the winds move around and around. Thank you for the a-ha song as well. . Without you posting their music here, I would have never have heard of them.

Yes,...we should never forget that we are all connected and that actions we take in one part of the globe can affect another. We usually get the tail end of your hurricanes over here at the other side of the Atlantic, Thank you for the kind words re a-ha...I know that I can sound quite obsessive sometimes, it’s just incredible to me that the US Music Industry decided to kill their careers in the USA because they wouldn’t fit into the box they wanted to keep them in. I’m thrilled that despite that, they have become one of the richest and most successful bands in the world.
