I think we are just another piece of the universe our energy never fades the shell holding it whether cat dog human just can not hold it anymore so that energy moves on to something else could be a microbe could be a star we just do not know but i like my idea much more then a ego shot of some man made god

Energy changes configuration and form. Who I am, is an expression of a particular configuration of matter and energy. My atoms and my energy will always exist in some form but the thing people miss when talking about "our energy" "moving on" is that it isn't ours and that it moves on isn't meaningful to our pretensions to immortality anymore than the smoke from a burning heap of rubbish means that the rubbish is eternal.

In this sense the matter that makes us up is immortal, simply going through continual changes of form, our matter and energy was born in the heart of a star and eventually will be compressed again in the heart of black hole, in order to begina ll over again endlessly.
I find that far more beautiful than eternity of sycophantic servitude to a psychotic god.

I always wonder where the energy went when the light bulb gets turned off. It just stops. Many of us need to think on that one.

No it doesn't it just bipasses the curciut and moves on elsewhere, the energy retained it the bulb is disbursed as heat and some small amount of sound.
@LenHazell53 Yes, and the bulb cannot be associated in any way with the rest of that energy. This is what i meant. When you are dead you are dead.
@DenoPenno I agree totally, the idea of eternal life is a total nightmare, and to me always has been even when I was a believer. The idea, for me, that life ends is the only thing that makes it bearable.
Sorr, but Nick is right. If you want to engage at an intelllectual level here you will certainly need grammar and paragraphs. Not in a pedantic way but enough to structure what is being said.
