I have never been to Ft. Bend but know people who have. Yes, this is disgusting but I try to find a common source and it seems to be anger. There is a lot of anger at, so called liberals, and maybe we should look at our own policies to see how they are driving the madness in the world (there is a common thread). Practicing real 'critical thinking' can help everyone. I also believe in geography being a critical part of ones mental state. When one lives in an area in which one needs to control nature it is about control and suppression. In an area, like mine, one embraces the geography and tries to preserve it.

@JackPedigo there is a lot of anger for liberals in this area and in the South generally due to a turd called Rush Limbaugh spouting his hatred and vitriol on a daily basis on the radio down here. Most of these people I believe, would like a liberal if they met them but were not aware of their liberal ideology. These people are like sheep and are led by people like Trump and Limbaugh and Coulter and Hannity. They have diseased Minds from all the propaganda they hear on a daily basis. I agree with you about the geography. Living down here with all the pollution and general ignorance of the population makes people very angry all the time. How I wish I lived in an area like you do. With such beauty and much better weather than we have here. Today it is 96 degrees with a heat index over 100. People get real ugly when it's hot like this all the time. Must be sort of like living in hell......if it existed

@Redheadedgammy I know about the temp. My family live in Dallass, and New Braunfels and I have the Dallas weather on my weather icon. I remember being in Dallas on a hot fall day and when I returned to Seattle I heard an ice storm came in overnight. It is usual for urban areas to be more 'open minded' than rural. The military also doesn't help. When I was in the military we were told it was not a democracy and one did as they were told. Most simply blended in kind of like religion. Luckily, my division was not DOD but NSA and the people were more open minded. Also, I feel the fact that we were drafted (I enlisted but had draft papers in hand) meant there was a more diverse group. Now it is strictly enlistees and and (again, my feelings) and they often join because they have fewer other options.
