I often find it extremely mind-boggling just how many "Christians" have never read the Bible. I can often quote more from the Bible than many Christians I talk to. Seriously though, can you imagine believing in an omnipotent being who created the universe and then finding out they wrote a book and NOT reading it?!?
I would want to digest every word, sentence, paragraph, page, and chapter with all my being over and over again if I believed such a thing was true. I would DEVOUR that book!
I mean seriously!! I would "kill" for the opportunity to read a book written by a God! To read the words a God wrote. Can you imagine if that was actually a possible opportunity how amazing it would be? Yet they believe it is and don't even bother to give it a read. That's so insane.
Although, as the saying goes, "the road to Atheism is littered with read Bibles." So perhaps they fear it may shake their faith or deep down don't truly believe at all. But for those that do and have never read the Bible, I find that truly mind-blowing.

Atheists often ask for evidence to prove that GOD exists. They say they want tangible, testable evidence that can be verified via the Scientific method. Unfortunately for them, such a request is the wrong approach. Instead, they should look for evidence consistent with a Transcendent GOD.
LET ME SHOW you WHY.
CAN GOD BE PROVEN SCIENTIFICALLY?
The question of whether or not GOD can be proven Scientifically isn't possible without first looking at what it means for something to be "Scientific." The Scientific method is the process of looking at the materal world, devising a hypothesis on a particular phenomenon, developing experiments to test the hypothesis, modifying the hypothesis based on the results of experiments, and that eventually forming a theory that is consistent with the results of experiments so the theory can explain why something happens. Therefore, by definition, the Scientific method is restricted to examining the physical realm. This is why it isn't Scientifically possible to prove that GOD exists.
Think about this - - GOD exists outside of the physical universe. HE is not part of it. HE created it, so HE is different from the universe. The Scientific method is restricted to that which is within the universe - - but GOD is outside of it. So it would be like someone asking for material evidence of the non-material GOD.
Furthermore, the Scientific method deals with repeatable experiments done in the physical realm. How would anybody develop a test to prove that GOD exists by looking at rocks, or heat exchange, or quantum physics, etc., that can be repeated in a laboratory? If Scientists were to find something that was unexplainable, they will say that they don't understand it yet. But if they find some "proof" that is repeatable, all they are is discovering how the physical universe works. So, it is difficult to even begin to understand how any Scientist can develop an experiment by which GOD can be demonstrated to exist.

because that which is known about GOD is evident within them; for GOD made it evident to them.

For even though they knew GOD, they did not honor HIM as GOD or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

I would suggest that it is more beneficial to read, with a critically analytical mind, several commentaries on an issue.
Just reading the Bible will get you nowhere due to the language structure depending upon the translation. Commentaries do the graft for you and get into the core of the text. Usually choose three from different positions and see where they concur or compete. Then make your assessment.

To be fair & a contrarian; would you recommend the majority of people that support action against climate change to actually even understand a fraction of a portion of the science behind it before we actually take action upon it?
Because they don't . . . . .& they won't . . . & honestly really I don't . . . & I'm willing to bet that you don't truly.

The truth is that the believers go to church maybe twice a week and they leave it up to the preacher to tell them what is in the bible. Needless to say there is a lot of cherry picking and jumping around. If you do not like what one church tells you, go to another.

I attended Private Catholic School... it was never the Book... So Religion was one of those subjects I was good at it. It was a subject nothing more than that. When you are a Natural Born Atheist... You can Fake just as Much as Do Anything. Nothing Mind Boggling about it.

3 different references that people are Gods. With out disputing truth or fiction of Jesus character,(son of god) it is written that Jesus style God argued that people are Gods.
Isaiah 41:23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.
Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

There are some things labeled by this word that have more popularity than others. There are groups of people that give a certain definition to this word that the agree on and follow for that group. There are those that would say there is nothing in existence that this word would properly label.
There are those that do not have evidence for a reason to label anything with this word. There are those that could never know what to label with this word.
A very uncommon word for how it is used comes from Germanic origin of meaning to call or invoke and now in fact exist as a word in English spelt with the letters G, O, and D.
I created Taco God. Taco God is real. Taco God is a person. Any person that has eaten a taco is a Taco God. Tacos are real, people are real and people really eat tacos.

It is just so unbelievable that people would worship such deities as naming towns after deities or claiming the towns as the "hometown" of deities.
And that doesnt even get into the Harry Potter deity worship of people just throwing money at movies and books in worship of Harry Potter god. Just unbelievable what these theist worshipers will do.

I'm curious what you mean by "transcendental knowledge"? And what you would consider examples of it.
@Gawd Of course my notion of transcendental knowledge is my own, and I thus cite those scientific discoveries which elude everyday experience, but are nonetheless critical to our existence. I would cite evolutionary processes, E=mc^2, Maxwell's Equations, Quantum Mechanics, the virtual nature of matter, fission & fusion, The Standard Model, kinetics, the use of imaginary numbers for network analysis, etc.
