I read recently of an out brake of infant herpes being traced back to a traditionalist Jewish mohel who insisted on the age old practice of sucking away the foreskin of his victims even though he knew he was infected.
He thought gawd would protect the children from his disgusting negligence since it was by divine command.
Male and female circumcision is a filthy abomination, mutilation and an abuse that should be outlawed in civilized society other than in cases of medical need ( I am assured by a doctor friend of mine that there are two conditions that do occur naturally that require partial male circumcision, none that require full ones in males and none that require anything like the mutilation required by female circumcision)

Yep, tradition is everything, forget the fact that all traditions fade, die or change in the end, and when they are gone it will prove how meaningless they were. Without tradition you would have to make decisions for yourself, you may even have to take responsibility for your own actions. Best just keep going to the church /mosque and do as you are told. And if in my case I seem to come to no harm, then a sample of one is always big enough to prove the case. isn't it.
