Yes, I agree fully with you Mr. President and I would be very happy if that happened today but what about your lame duck second term and not doing anything to correct the wrongs of the previous administration on the anger of which you were elected president?

Often great things are not accomplished by being Mr. Nice Guy. You have to be prepared to take the public wrath for doing the right and unpopular things. Stopping illegal immigration is one for example. You did DACA just before the elections. Was it right to not take actions to deport illegal immigrants and do an opportunist thing serve self instead? Do you think that is a hallmark of a good leader or of a selfish politician?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion

I imagine it was investigated then buried because Everyone was involved or they had already pardoned themselves quietly.

It is absolutely the right thing to do, to not deport people who were brought here by their families as children, had basically no say in their immigration (legal or illegal) and in many cases have known no other country.

As opposed to, for instance, someone who arrived as an adult and worked illegally, then married someone just to become an American citizen. That person should definitely be deported, after serving his or her prison time, of course. [usatoday.com]

He was deporting more people than anyone in History . Get Your Fucking Facts right . Last time I checked we are in a Democracy and things must be passed into law and it takes COMPROMISE .

@GEGR
Why stop at deporting only criminals? Why not all illegal immigrants? Why make DACA legal? Why was that right? Is Trump waiting for a compromise? Voters were really tired of this compromise, Government shutdown, deadlock shit that they elected Trump and he is doing what voters expected him to do. Obama did not do many things what voters expected. he was a total lame duck president in his second term.

@Paul4747
Illegal means illegal. and Illegal immigrants means no right to stay and deportation. That is exactly what Trump is doing and he will be re-elected in 2020 on that score alone.

@St-Sinner "Illegal means illegal". You are correct. And on that score, the magnitude of illegal things this administration and Trump himself have done and are currently doing will see him in prison.

Just a brief rundown-

-Hush money payments to porn stars, made with campaign funds

-Tax dodging through the "Trump Foundation"

-Commercial dealings in Cuba, against the law, over the past 20 years

-Violations of the emoluments clause- foreign nationals staying at Trump properties and paying overinflated rates to boot, in obvious bribes for favorable consideration- as well as spending tax dollars to stay at his own properties, in other words, our money being pumped into his companies

-Not to mention obstruction of justice on a scale undreamed of.

However, your blind loyalty to the brand name does you great credit.

@Paul4747
When I am talking about illegal immigration as a bipartisan and national issue specifically, you start on illegalities of Trump. Is that a good argument? We can talk about illegal immigration and law breaking of Trump separately.

@St-Sinner I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about the principle that "Illegal means illegal". If you're going to punish children for being brought illegally into the country, by expelling them years later, then what do you do to an adult who knowingly breaks the law, for decades, and brags about it?

The first case has a valid argument for clemency. Not the second.

@Paul4747
I can give you 500 million children by country in the world today that should be airlifted because they are starving of simple food. What will you do for the true help, not just selective help for a selected community. Why just at the Southern border? We bombed the hell out of innocent people all over the world. There are more cases of children and women who will die tomorrow if we did not help. Their cases are serious - not just of seeking asylum because their husbands are beating them.

As for innocent children, I think you are talking about DACA? Children around the world are victims of the mistakes of their parents. It happens everywhere in the world and it happens all the time, we could be better off if our parents did something better or did not make mistakes. That is life. We are talking about not just mistakes, but illegal behavior and law breaking of parents here. The solution to parents' law breaking is not granting them asylum. The just solution that we propose to everybody around the world is go back and stand in line at the U.S. Consulates. There are millions of people, law abiding applicants are standing in the Sun, starving and waiting on borrowed money with the hope that they would be granted a permission to enter the U.S. to work hard and uplift themselves. They do not expect any public charge. If there is one rule for everyone, all DCA must go back and get in the line. They cannot be ahead of all other current legal applicants waiting in line around the world.
