No, I doubt he was. And whoever came up with this version messed up by putting, .."and after thought", rather than, "...an afterthought." (Sorry, it's the grammarian in me.)
I think Gere is a life long Buddhist.
But he's soooo hot.
@Condor5 I didn't catch that either, I must be slipping.
@BeeHappy & @HippieChick58, don't fret it; it's only one of four (4!) errors within the quote, for which reason i wouldn't attribute it to Richard Gere, who, by the way, i always saw as a philosophical, not a religious, buddhist, @balou
