I actually heard a yell from a man on a construction site. Who got rolled over by a steam roller machine wail talking on his cell phone.
He and his cell phone were flat as a pancake.

It's insane how prevalent this is! On a one-hour, mostly freeway drive home from the city one night this week, THREE 18 wheeler trucks crossed into my lane. In each case, the driver was very visibly typing on a device. Sad part, we could have been killed while these drivers would most likely walk away without a scratch.

I usually tell them the story of a young man with whom I used to work. He was driving along one evening when he was 19, with his 17-year-old girlfriend in the seat beside him, when he received a message on his phone and answered it.

He woke up three days later in intensive care. She was less fortunate, and he went to prison for four years and was banned from driving for ten years.

It’s amazing that anyone does this. I went on a date with someone who kept looking at his gps instead of listening to it. I put up a protest then made him take me back home. It’s crazy.
