Hello everybody, I just joined, and I just wanted to say that I think a community like this is a great idea, and something that is certainly needed in this day and age. I believe that the security of our future as a species lies in secular humanism, and such a thing becoming universally accepted starts in groups like this!

What a better world we can work toward if we can remove the gods and artificial borders and realize that the fault and the solutions are within ourselves--and that we are all in this together. But, alas, I fear that is not within our grasp as a species--not yet anyway. Still, we should work toward that goal.

Welcome. I think there is kind of a drought for members here in Utah, but it's always good to see additional people here. This is my first day on the site as well. Hope you have fun, and find what you are looking for!

I wish you luck as well. I'm not surprised that there aren't too many Utahans here, it can be pretty hard to be a secular type in the middle of the Mormon Belt.
