@FearlessFly Thanks but I've already read what Wiki has to say plus gone through everything on the attached link a well.
But it still has no real answers as to WHY those seasonal changes occur so regularly.
It is well worth anyone's time just to check out the captioned pictures! Thanks for posting!

Thank you for sharing this. I always wonder about Mars. Whether the intended trek there will still be happening in a few year's time - that one way, no return ticket.

Very interesting. Back in 1976 the first Mars lander detected life but the finding was pushed aside.

Thanks for posting this link. I've saved it and will go back to it later. I am really very curious about Mars. ...always have been.
Yes I remember that at the time it did seem to be taking healthy scientific scepticism to an extreme level. But I could not see any motive for that, then it has occured to me that NASA has long had the idea of a manned mission. Could it be that the proof of life on mars is being held back, to provide a justification for and a triumph for a manned mission ?
