I like it as a concept. It is infuriating how invisible all the costs are. I do think it should be made irrelevant for the most part since we should just have universal healthcare.

Also it would do no good if there isnt an easy way to figure out how much things cost with whatever insurance you have. I've only had intermittent employer based insurance but with the exception of basic office visits it seems to be a black box.

I did my best to do ask the right questions but always seemed to find a way to charge me hundreds more than what I was led to believe. Decisions in the office while speaking about procedures with a doctor are impossible since they have no concept or clue how much they will cost you and it is different for each person.

Like I said I think it should be made irrelevant. It doesn't work as a for profit industry. It does kinda seem like a very small gesture to claim they are doing something about healthcare..
