Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I stay with my sister here in Albuquerque, NM, and her daughter and family flew in from Minnesota for the week. One daughter already lives nearby, with her two girls.

The four cousins have been having a blast, and the snowstorm last night inspired them to make a snowman.

I can enjoy their company whenever I am up to it (I'm a recovering cancer patient) and lie down in my recliner when I need to rest.

Before they all came over this morning, I was up early watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, then the National Dog Show, and it was snowing the entire time, after snowing all night.

My 12-pound, delicate rescue Italian grayhound/terrier cross struggled through the deep snow during a short walk to do her business, but at least she did it today-after stonewalling me for two days, probably to protest having to defecate outside in the bad weather.

Yesterday, after I added a warm knit Santa neck warmer to wear over her winter coat, she was willing to do her business during a hike.

I just now invented a "homeopathetic meal" strategy..eating only token amounts of food that almost aren't there, and that eased intestinal discomfort that has been making eating meals an act of bravery.

For instance, just now I ate lunch (at 3 PM) - 1/3 tofu hot dog, one very small hemp biscuit, a sliver of almond cheese, a thin slice of tofu, slathered with mustard and ketchup.

This meal only took a few minutes to eat, but at least my stomach is OK with it.
