“I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.”

-John Cage

@ToolGuy - Sure thing. Strangers typically validate my mistrust in people.

There was a time when people thought cars were scary as F--k.

they are scary .Number of road traffic deaths
There were 1.25 million road traffic deaths globally in 2013

@AmmaRE007 Well, sure; but it was the technology they found scary. People thought the human body couldn't handle the high speeds and would die; and, high speeds was something like 50 or 60 mph. Of course we now know how terrible the internal combustion engine is for the environment--now that's scary.

Beautiful. Embrace the exciting future. Don't be technology averse.

@ToolGuy I support technology but not crazy plans. I like women does not mean I like Hillary. Yang is making good points but proposing crazy solutions. The fact that he is polling at 1% after 6 months of fundraising, campaigns including town-halls, shows he is not selling his message. Similar to Bernie's story. The greatness of the message and the leader is only their and their supporters' minds. The rest of the people are not buying it. I am waiting for the news of their happy drop out of the race. It is just a matter of time.

@ToolGuy It is not job losses. It is job market configuration. It is the reality. Crying over job losses is meek.

Yang is not the only one who has recognized what is happening to our and the world economies. Books have been written and classes are taught. But others do not run for president. Good idea are not enough and original good ideas are not even necessary. What is needed for a successful candidacy is being a good leader and campaigner. Yang or Bernie - none has it.

Twitter is what actually scares me.

Technology has always terrified people. Old people. People born into it won’t think twice about it. My Mom was terrified of computers. My friend’s grandfather wouldn’t allow a water heater in his house. Heating water on the stove was good enough for his mother, so it had to be good enough for his wife.
