From an American Tweeter

“I was paying $550/month for health insurance this year.

Then I had an emergency and had to take an ambulance.

I got a bill for $1340. Insurance covers exactly $0 because I haven’t even come close to the $5000 deductible.

Fuck this.“

What happens when politicians, mostly republicans, amended the ACA for the benefit of the health insurance industry

If you have health insurance but the deductible is so high that you can't pay it, you defacto don't have health insurance.

And don't get bit by a snake in Florida! If the snake doesn't kill you, the hospital bill will ($25,000-$40,000)!

Americans pay more for healthcare and medicine then the people of any other developed country. Notice how concerned Republicans are about this ? It's ALL trump talks about......

Don't you have universal health care in Canada? Is your insurance supplemental to what you get for "free"?

@ToolGuy Oh. Yes, thanks.

But can Canadians have private health insurance augmenting their universal care?
