Sounds like a lot of FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) to me, the kind that's often used to spur investments in or support of things we really don't need in order to fuel some other agenda. Say... perhaps the need for the military industrial complex to keep proving its invaluable and costly necessity.

Until I see actual evidence of supposed advanced technologies that would actually make a difference in outer space operations, I'm not convinced at all. This sounds more in the realm of conspiracy theory than public policy based on solid evidenence.
