I disagree. IMHO only a centrist, NOT a leftist, has any chance of winning.

I guess the principle is, if at first you fail miserably, try try again the same old way.

You are implying that Hilarity Clinton is/was a centrist. She was one of the elitist "good old boys" of the Southern Democrats.
Galloway is not the sharpest tack in the box, or he didn’t used to be if his behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother about 15 years ago is any testament.
