F..... right. -24 here in Algonquin Highlands this morning.

Actually -32C when I could see our outside thermometer. The snowmobilers will be happy because the lakes will finally freeze Over completely

That's a pretty big change from the + 30s you just had!

-23 degrees is why we invented UHAULS. That way we can MOVE AWAY from such horrid places!!!

Is that normal? If not, how much higher or lower is it?

It is not unusual in January - we usually have a week or to of very cold, but may places in Alaska it can be much colder and Fairbanks can see -45 to -50 F !!!
