Yeah, basically. Void fill is really any packing material that fills in around the product to help keep it from rattling around. It can be packing peanuts, wadded up newspaper, shredded cardboard, etc.

@resserts Thanks. I heard of it as peanuts when talking about packing or shipping stuff.

It's the stuff that packs in around a product for shipping to keep it secure and cushioned. In this case, I think it's packing peanuts.
