Wow; blocked (on FaceBook) from posting "for a few days" for simply sharing a CNN article and a WaPo article on a "conservative discussion group" page.
I told the FB "gestapo" that they need to consider the source. They apparently blindly "block" anyone who allegedly posts what they define as "going against community standards".
I shared a CNN video from last night on Bernie, and I shared a WaPo post - by Conservatives - that said Trump was abusing his authority at the prayer breakfast.
I have both links handy; if you request them, I'll share them.
I'm guessing it's a new strategy for the pro-trump (and pro-Putin?) followers. It's going to be a long spring and summer.
beware,FB users. Putin, Trump and friends have a new ally.

I'm an Admin for a group & that person(s) can do that. Am I to assume it may be a religious group? By the way, a good true article about thee scumbag.

@ChurchLess I will share the links here; one was a commentary by conservatives and religious people about trump;
The other was simple elaboration by Bernie Sanders on CNN.
These articles or video proved to be too strong, too "offensive" or too "good" for some - who falsely reported the posts as "going against community standards" though...if you watch/read either....you'll see they did not.
I suspect it's the same person who "follows" me and has a vendetta to report anything I say that's anti-Trump/pro-Sanders. The FB people - I call them "gestapo" -take the word of the person reporting me and don't give those being reported any chance to defend themselves
Then they "block me for a few days" (I'm in my 3d 3 day or 72 hour block) from "posting to any groups". I can comment to friends and post on my home page; but I cannot comment to groups..I've tried and they give me an exact time when I can start posting again. It's weird...and apparently new...and apparently unfair.
@Robecology Admins of groups on FB can give time outs in blocks as you describe.
Is it just one group? Because I might search for a new one with better moderation!
A mainstream news article should never be justification for a time out.
Unless the group rules forbid mainstream news articles. (Example you wouldn't post news links in a meme group - that's not the stated purpose - however, even then, if it's pertinent article - most mods. would absolutely allow it).
@RavenCT I'm learning. Thanks for the info. It really is apparently up to the whims of the group moderators....and sometimes their reasoning....both here, and on FB....seems to be vague and nebulous.
That's bizarre. Unless there is a no liberal sharing rule on the group? But it should have booted you from the group not from FB.
I'm betting the FB algorithm responds to number of reports - maybe they've been teachimg their members to report people who differ from them - it might be effective? Scary isn it?
Not really anyone to appeal to.
Anything in a mainstream paper should be suitable for FB. (Sigh).

Thanks for asking. This one got me 72 hours in FB "jail". I made no comments; just posted the link and copied and posted some of the text. Apparently a #religulous reader read it and blew a fuse....
This one must have touched a pro Putin/anti Socialist nerve; and again; I said nothing along with the posts. That's what's so frightening - that's why I'm sharing this. Folks who are pro-Trump/anti - Sanders have a new tool.
Strange that you got booted.
