Good news and bad news...you can decide which is which.

I'm out of the hospital, as of Fri, Feb 7. I had some bleeding ulcers in my lower bowel. They operated to close them, gave me 20 units of blood, kept me sedated for 20 days, and saved my life.

I could not stand, much less walk, so they put me in rehab and I went to the gym daily. That was a nice treat; although, my muscles hurt. I can walk and chew gum at the same time again. Best thing, IMO, Anna has taken me back.

Still have work to do on my body, but Drs took me off diabetes meds. Will either go to YMCA or commercial gym ASAP.

That's awesome!
At one time I weighed 330 lbs. But I was hospitalized for pnuemonia and the weight was a big contributing factor. That was 10 years ago and I started going to the gym after I got out. I realized I might not see my oldest graduate (only kid at the time). I have lost close to 100 lbs now and basically look like a slightly chubby amateur body builder. Working out has become essential to me, how I manage stress especially. So good luck!
Btw, I was 40 when I started working out. Not quite ancient but not young either. I am 50 now and in the best shape of my life.

Excellent

So bad news but finishing with good news - that sounds like the right direction to be going in. I'm sorry to hear about your health problems, though. That must have taken a lot of strength to get through.

@EdEarl Going gently into that good night certainly holds no appeal to us atheists, eh? Battle onward. 🙂
