Is anyone else enjoying the delightfully twisted portrayal of the Catholic Church in the TV show "The New Pope"? Or is it actually less of a fictional TV show and more of a documentary... sometimes I wonder.
Spoiler alert...
The first episode was exceptionally entertaining - I'd love to see a new Pope elected that did suddenly decide to actually do "the Lord's work" but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it went down exactly as in this TV show.

HBO. It's a follow up to "The Young Pope" which I didn't watch which had Jude Law as a pope, this has John Malkovich as an old new pope.
@prometheus No HBO here so guess I won't see it. I can see Malkovich in the role though.
@itsmedammit that's too bad - I'm lucky to have a neighbor that shares his TV with us and has a similar taste in shows. If there is ever a change to do a 30-day free trial or something I'd add it to the list to binge watch.
