ON CNN TODAY [cnn.com]

A Highly Polarizing Candidate that we do not need in these precarious times.

  1. The fear isn't just over how Sanders and his far-left platform would fare against President Donald Trump in the general election, it's also about the effect his nomination could have on down-ballot races, particularly for Democrats running in tough elections in swing districts and states.
  2. "It's not just that he'd lose the presidency, it's that he'd put our candidates at risk," said Rep. Scott Peters of California, who supports Mike Bloomberg and is a leader in the 101-member New Democrat Coalition, a caucus of moderate House Democrats.
  3. Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey said "there's no question" Sanders will "create a real challenge for down ballot candidates" if he's the Democratic nominee.
    "I'm thinking of my home state in New Jersey, we got three new House members. They run in districts that were held by Republicans," Menendez told CNN. "How do they triangulate? How do they if someone like Senator Sanders is at the top of the ticket?"
  4. "Thinking of it as uniting in opposition to Bernie is a mistake," a Democratic adviser close to one campaign said. "They're all thinking how they can get the delegate race narrowed. The problem is that we won't have a sense of that until after Super Tuesday."
  5. Several Democratic presidential campaigns agree with the premise that Sanders' candidacy is bad for the party, but that's where the agreement ends. No candidates are willing to make hard decisions about the future of their campaigns until the South Carolina primary on Saturday and Super Tuesday contests three days later, when 14 states and American Samoa weigh in.
  6. The Democratic Party strategists express a deep concern about a lack of urgency to attack Sanders directly, noting what they see as a false sense of security among donors that there is still enough time to defeat him.
  7. "A lot of folks are sitting on their hands thinking it's not going to happen," said one veteran Democratic strategist who opposes Sanders's nomination. "There are several never-Sanders people who are complacent."

This is direct excerpt from today's news from CNN, the most liberal and fully Democrat leaning news media.

So much polarization in our own party before nomination with Bernie's name. Just remember, Trump has not even started playing his chips yet.

But go ahead, attack the truth teller.

What do the "woke" Bernie supporters think about this? [agnostic.com]

Comrade St Sinner won't stop trolling Bernie in many diffetent posts, but we all know by now that he's Putin's troll. Go suck Putin's dick, Tovarich!

1

It seems when tRump was running Bernie didn't seem so far left. Now that we have the other extreme he does seem very far left. It has been said ("Atlantic" ) that history has shown voters prefer slightly right centrists. This does seem a polarizing choice.

"CNN, the most liberal and fully Democrat leaning news media."

LOL!!

CNN is a desperately pathetic attempt by the media to walk the tightrope of the middle ground of politics. It hasn't represented anything "left" since it had FOX as a competitor. It explains why they are spinning the race as if it's a matter of "Democrats vs Republicans" as opposed to "Right vs Wrong".

It does not matter what Bernie actually is, what matters is what he is made out to be.

He is NOT pro communist- style authoritarian socialism. He is NOT for government ownership of the means of production. He is for government doing its duty to "promote the general welfare" and not merely the interests of the rich and powerful. Too many people do not bother to learn the difference--and this includes a LOT of Democrats.

I wish Bernie were not running because he is so polarizing. People either fear him or fall into the "Bernie or Bust"category; and I fear the this will only help tRUMPf.

This said, if he does get the nomination-- he will get my support 100% just as every Democrat who will be on my ballot.

Do you know that millions of Bernie supporters sat out the 2016 election?

Both are possibilities in Nov 2020 just with Bernie's ongoing crazy personal ambition misadventure:

  1. If Bernie is nominated, millions of moderates, independents, Democrats will sit out 2020
  2. If Bernie is not nominated, many Bernie supporters will sit out 2020

The damage is already done. The benefactor is Trump. I will be here in November 2020 to remind the Bernie fanatics of what they were playing with.

@St-Sinner I do know this and it could be why we lost the race. Too many felt Hillary had it in the bag and didn't vote. There was also a large contingency of male voters (Bernie Brothers) who would not support a woman.

@St-Sinner Bernie will not get my vote in the primary. I don't want him to be the candidate we have in the general election; but, as I stated, if he is there--he will get my vote--as will anyone else who might be there.

@JackPedigo
Thank you.
I know it and you know it but Bernie supporters are flatly denying it. That is the nature of blind faith.

I have not felt this strongly about any other political issue as much as I have about Bernie being a losing candidate against Trump.

@St-Sinner In 2016 he might have beat tRump. At that time few know of the true policies of either candidate. Now we do.

@JackPedigo Really? Do you know how many core Democrats would have not voted for Bernie in 2016?

@St-Sinner No idea but I do know, at our caucus, if you weren't a Bernie supporter you were really out of step.

@JackPedigo That's bullying.

@St-Sinner Not intentionally. It was just that he had so many supporters here. Remember, this is an island and many have an island mentality. Funny, my 88 year old neighbor who was an engineer and brought up in Austin was right behind me when we voted and then quickly left.

@JackPedigo
Quickly left? Lol. Sounds like me. I would have left even quicker after eating a donut or two.

@St-Sinner We stood around a bit to check out the evolving mob mentality. Also, there were no donuts.

1

Go Bernie! They're scared...

  1. Republicans scared is a good thing. Democrats scared is a bad thing
  2. But the Conservatives, Republicans and Trump are very excited about going against Bernie. Trump said Bernie nomination would be a dream come true

@St-Sinner so if he said that, the opposite is likely true lol, i don't think biden is scarier to trump. But bernie should stop using the word "free" and reiterate that hes not trying to go full blown socialist, and distance himself from communism for all the numbskulls out ther thst equate the two...

1

More opinions. And all these pundits and politicians were right about predicting that Trump would lose in 2016, weren't they? It's all speculative at best.

I don't buy the down-ballot argument. I think the electorate are smart enough to know there's a difference. The only cases where I can see Sanders's being the nominee having an effect on down-ballot races is when the candidates down-ballot actually closely align with, endorse, and campaign with Sanders. And that might go either way, depending on the region/district. I think the same applies to all the candidates.

5

"Far left"?????? In the world, actually Centrist.

It seems like you are playing with words.

I did not want to wait until Trump digs out skeletons from Bernie's past such as socialist and communist speeches, activities, visits to communist countries, showering praises on communist leaders etc.

@St-Sinner Buwahahahahaaaaaa! anybody could have dug up dirt on Bernie, they would have. Why not hold yer breath until they do?

There is NOTHING "far left" in Bernie's platform. Just many well-needed, long overdue changes. The opposition has weaponized the term Socialist. With the big bomb Communist following closely behind, neither of which are true. Bernie is a socialist democrat (which I am too) who wants our government to improve the lives of everybody, not just the very wealthy.

@St-Sinner you mean like what trump has done with Putin and Kim of N. Korea

@Athena You mean truth telling is not time well spent? What do you have against the truth?

@bklynite53
Everything under the Sun to win.

@Athena
I quoted sources for each news piece. Didn't I?

There isnt a single candidate I wouldnt vote for. I favor Warren in the Primaries, but, bottom line, any of them would be better than trump.

Della Level 6 Feb 25, 2020

I will vote for Warren | Castro ticket in a heartbeat.

But my argument is Bernie nomination will be a lose | lose situation for Democrats:

  1. A historic loss for democrats in 2020
  2. A historic landslide for Trump with over 350 delegates
  3. More losses in the Senate and the House
  4. More Democrat losses in state legislatures
  5. More conservative takeovers of agencies, commissions, courts, committees

This will be a Democrats loss of historic proportions. Democrats will remember what the American heartland's backlash feels like.

@St-Sinner you, sir, are a Fool, and not just a fool, willfully so.

@AnneWimsey
First you do not like the truth, then you do not like the truth teller, then you are in denial about everything you want to believe. Let us wait till November and I will be here to talk. I will apologize if I am wrong but I do not believe I am today.

@St-Sinner I hope yours is a very skewed view of future reality.

@St-Sinner I respectfully disagree. Voters are tired of trumps open corruption. More importantly, theyre tired of his enablers. Theyre also tired of the status quo. There has to be big changes moving forward. It isnt partisan, it is a matter of survival. First things first, trump & his shitshow has to got to go!

@Della The anger and frustration are only among Democrats and Progressives. Trump is still popular nationallly.

@St-Sinner there is no truth from you, no citations, only opinion, and dumb opinion at that, flying in te face of every poll & every caucus so far. Your sole purpose seems to be to discourage voting.

@St-Sinner just. Because you keep saying it does not even come close to making it true! Sorry for you (not!!!)when your baseless delusions fail.
BTW, Seen any numbers on caucus/primary turn-outs? Highest EVER, I hear......

5

I'm not interested in what's good for the Democrats... I'm interested in getting trump out. If Bernie runs against Trump, I'll vote Bernie no matter what.. no way is he worse than Trump. . Who will you vote for, comrade?

3

Seriously, enough of this. If Bernie's the nom, we're voting for him. Whoemver's the nom is who we'll get behind and hope for the best. That's all anyone can do.

All the effort is about not nominating him to avoid the impending disaster in Nov 2020 and for decades afterwards. It is not about voting for him.

@St-Sinner Fine but if he wins the S Carolina primary on Saturday, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that he's going to be the nom so after that, you either get behind him or go vote for Trump which is my expectation.

@Sgt_Spanky

Yes, in that case, I will recommend suggestions to core Democrats as to how to save themselves from the Conservatives onslaught for 4 years. Some of the suggestions may include:

  1. Stay low, do not identify yourself as a Democrats or Progressive
  2. Do not criticize Trump
  3. Throw all Bernie buttons and memorabilia. You will be labeled as a socialist
  4. Don't you dare say "you don't believe in God" when you are in the South
  5. Always fake that you go to some church on Sunday
  6. Warn your children that they would be bullied by Trump supporters' children at school
  7. Stay away from social media
  8. Just accept traffic tickets given by cops. Don't argue
  9. Always carry your passport and photo ID with you when you leave house
  10. Don't say you would not date a Trump voter or supporter. That would be construed as discriminatory
  11. If you live in Vermont, lie that you live in Idaho or something
  12. Do not connect to anyone from 'shithole' countries on dating sites, give money on the U.S. land if you must
  13. Consider moving to Canada

My suggestions about how to recover by 2024 and get to normalcy as much as possible will come soon. This will include Bernie Anonymous (BA) class. You must start with an admission... "Yes, I was a Bernie Supporter" to believe and start your recovery.

@St-Sinner just wow...a totally fascist agenda if I ever heard it, and something only drump, or a drump-lover, would ever think could happen here. You reveal yourself, comrade!

2

I'm all in for Bernie because I believe Bernie and I believe in the changes he wants to make to our country.

That is exactly I am asking people not to do. American Presidential election is not about the truth, compassion, your passion and the good hearts. The election has always been about playing dirty, digging dirt, dirty tricks, tearing down candidates, character assassination, fake news, campaign money power, defining your opponent rather each defining himself, media iases, on-the-air time and often some rigging. It is naive to think it the election is about ideas. It is not. Bernie has caused so much polarization within his own party and mind you, Trump has not even started playing his dirty chips yet.

@St-Sinner Bernie is a Brooklyn boy— don’t worry about him— if trump wants a dirty street fight Bernie is the only one that will go toe to toe with him and beat him

@bklynite53
So is Trump but just more ruthless. Bernie is also a heart patient. Should we not worry?

@St-Sinner wow, you really think everybody in this country is as dumb as drump......

3

Cnn is the most left-leaning? Since when?

Vote your heart in the primaryn. Vote blue in novembet. WE control electability

g

Vote your heart? Since when it has worked in American presidential elections?

American Presidential election is not about the truth, compassion, your passion and the good hearts. The election has always been about playing dirty, digging dirt, dirty tricks, tearing down candidates, character assassination, fake news, campaign money power, defining your opponent rather each defining himself, media iases, on-the-air time and often some rigging. It is naive to think it the election is about ideas. It is not. Bernie has caused so much polarization within his own party and mind you, Trump has not even started playing his dirty chips yet.

@St-Sinner ummm, Carter? Obama, Bill C. For just recent events! Your willful BS, okay, lies, are getting Old! Trying to break down our entire system by promulgating disaffection. Just like drump, in fact!

@AnneWimsey
Obama and Clinton were ferocious game players. They beat the heck out of their opponents. Bernie is not them. That is what I worry about.

@St-Sinner oh, do you know when everyone has or hasn't voted their heart, that you can calculate whether or not it worked?

bernie doesn't cause polarization. his russian-inspired bots and berners do. the also-russian-inspired anti-berners do. and then there is you. YOU do. and bernie isn't far-left. health care and education are standard in other civilized nations. is it far-left to be civilized?

g

@genessa well said, girl!

@AnneWimsey
Whaat?
I liked you before.

3

I already voted for Sanders in the primary, so has everyone I know.😜 Go back down on your knees and slurp up trump fool aid we know you love😂

You too Brutus?

6

Voting for Sanders. No matter what you post. As a matter of fact, the more B.S. you post the more determined I become in voting for him. Keep it up, you've become my motivation.

Is that your final answer?

I am doing my part to prevent a disaster for Democrats. I cannot make a horse drink water. I can only take you to water.

@St-Sinner we can tell you have major love for Russia, drump, fascism. Your touching " concern" for the Dems is so transparently CRAP I am daily flabbergasted. Parties can & do change their ideology all the time. Bernie is the ONLY candidate for Decades that is & has been consistent in his outlook & plans & concern for We The People. Period!

@AnneWimsey
You would go to any lengths out of passion for your candidate and ignore facts and truth along the way.

@St-Sinner well, yeah, thought I made that clear the last time.

@St-Sinner oh, you are doing all this "don't vote for someone who might have OUR interests at heart because you are going to 'save" Democrats! WTF, that is LUDICROUS!

@AnneWimsey
Stop and think of the path you are in for the sake of our democracy for our sakes.

6

Sanders is not far left, unless one is an a right-wing extremist. I see him as similar to Roosevelt in many ways.

What would be your example of someone who is "far left"? Pol Pot?

3

It's BS. Sanders is not "far left." The truth is that the democrats are leaning to the right.

4

BS, just total BS, and an indication that the Right cannot find any dirt on Bernie!

Everybody who talked to CNN is BS?

@St-Sinner still waiting for your citations..........been several Days now. So sad you equate opinions with facts, just like drumpy.....
