My favorite thing about God is that it’s fake, can you imagine a world where that shit was actually the truth of reality? It’s insane to think people see the world like that... I find it odd however when nonbelievers can’t believe people still think as they do because of what year it is... like hey, it’s 2017, get a clue! That argument for accepting a modern view has been with us since ancient times, there has always been enlightened individuals but we have never been an enlightened species... hard to believe in this day and age, lol

As a child, religion always seemed frightening to me. I just didn't want it to be true that this was the ONLY hope that we had. And why would I want to do good all my life, just to go live eternally with a horrible slavemaster like the piece of sh!t in the bible?

I think any god that is described as both loving and omnipotent should automatically be disqualified. We can see the results for ourselves and those words don't fit if there is one.

Are you kidding? Who wants to take responsibility for their lives and mistakes?
People usually want to think there's someone behind the curtain giving points for all their good deeds and controlling things, or that they have some higher life "purpose," other than just enjoying life, of course.

Yeah, religion is kind of like a fantasy novel. People imagine their religious lives as beign from the early scenes of the movie "Pleasantville", when they are really livign out a "Nightmare on Elm Street".
