Bernie... Oh Poor Bernie

Why is no one endorsing Bernie? Does anyone know?

  1. Bloomberg endorsed Biden
  2. Buttigieg endorsed Biden
  3. Amy Klobuchar endorsed Biden
  4. Beto O'Rourke endorsed Biden
  5. Harry Reid endorsed Biden
  6. Even ex White House Communication Director Anthony Scaramucci voted for and endorsed Biden
  7. Warren considering suspending campaign and may endorse Biden

P.S..... The stock market is surging on Biden's wins. It is hugely relieved that Bernie will not mess up the country after all. [cnn.com]

There is a bit in Douglas Adam`s Hitchhikers guide where Ford Prefect and Zaphod Beeblebrox are discussing politics on their home planet of Betelgeuse. Although it is a democracy and the vast majority are humanoid, it is ruled by lizards. Arther Dent asks the reasonable question "Why don't you vote for a human?"
"Because if we did that then the wrong lizard might get in."
The vast majority of Americans are not rich, over 70, male or pretty soon not even white. Yet you would not think so if you looked at your representatives.
Bernie's policy of universal healthcare is an idea that is well overdue. You are the only 1st world nation that does not have it. Instead, you have a very inefficient expensive extortion racket that makes billions off of people's sickness. No wonder all the big money guns have been firing blasts at him? How far would you go to protect a gravy train that large? Yet universal healthcare is a popular policy, with even a majority of Republican voters in favor*.
So why is Bernie not doing better? Two words, liberal and socialist. It seems all you have to do in the US is to attach those labels to any candidate to watch them sink below sea-level. The red under the bed still make America duck and cover. It seems odd that a country so founded on liberty can find "liberal" such a dirty word? Also, one that is supposedly Christian, so adverse to helping its neighbors? Yet anything that detracts from the pioneer spirit is looked upon as a communist dictatorship. Maybe it is time for America to join the 21st century. There is no more free land to settle, no more vast untapped resources to exploit. Each country has to live on its wits. And that includes stealing the best ideas from others. A flexible, well-educated workforce. Not tied into medical insurance serfdom is a significant edge.
Now it looks like Biden is going to get the nomination. One would hope that he might adopt Benies healthcare plans or even draft him into the cabinet to help implement them. But I am not holding my breath. After all the wrong lizards might get in.

The status quo forces, health care companies, fossil fuel companies, big pharma, wallstreet, are all relieved that they will continue to make big profits at the expense of the working men and women of this country with Bernie out of the way.

Thats all I have been trying to tell you all. The socialist game will not work in the sea full of sharks. They will eat Bernie alive.

@St-Sinner well, they have been trying to do that for about 40 years...he ain't no snowflake!

Yes it is up to the people.......the millions of working class Americans who are being screwed by the establishment 1% @St-Sinner

The fix is in. The dem establishment is full of 'NeverBernie's. Even if the convention is brokered, the super delegates will go with the moderate Biden.

St. Sinner, if you don't know why then you're not only a russian troll but more likely a stupid russian troll.

Have patience for the truth to reveal

@St-Sinner no patience here for russian trolls.

People are not endorsing Bernie for several reasons: (1) the political right will label him as a revolutionary socialist; (2) They know that Bernie does not work well with people who disagree with him; (3) Bernie is more of an ideologue than a person who can create the legislative support and cooperation to get things done. I agree with much of what Bernie wants to accomplish, but I do not see him accomplishing those things.

I like Bernie's views, however I believe he's too confrontational to become president.

@kiramea
That's all I am saying. Bernie had a reasonable message but was a terrible messenger. That's why a good prduct company always hires good looking salesmen and salesgirls.
