I try to find humor in almost everything. I joke about everything. I don't do it to demean anyone or group of people. I believe that if we can laugh at and with each other, there would be less hateful confrontation.
I see some funny videos about the Corona virus online, and some are very funny, but unfortunately throughout the world there is also a rise in hateful rhetoric aimed at people of Asian descent.
I understand that the virus is killing people and some people may not think that people should joke about it, but everyone deals with stress differently. Harmless fun in dealing with a serious problem is one way that some of us choose to cope with a sad situation.
Vilifying a whole group of people with misinformation and hateful rhetoric is racist and shameful as is seen on the Fox news network. I keep hoping that we are better human beings than that, but sadly I keep finding disappointment in human kind.
This is just me venting my frustration. This hateful rhetoric is nothing new. The A.I.D.S. epidemic, the Ebola outbreak, the bird flu, the SARS outbreak, the swine flu outbreak were all used for hateful and racist rhetorics. We are one human race.ONE.

Hateful and racist rhetoric is used by deeply damaged people who are in denial about their own damage.

I am not! I did not! Where? ......what's the question again?

Yes ... in an ideal world, which this is not. All any of us can do is try to set a good example.

Paragraphs are no joking matter.

Agreed. Paragraphs allow you to see if the writer is writing bollocks or not.

Walls of text are just not a joy to engage with.

Sorry about that. I was writing this in my car using my phone and venting after I witnessed an unpleasant encounter toward an Asian American man.
