Okay, so ....my son, 15, brings it up to me last night. Do I know Ben Shapiro? Well Joe has been listening to more commentary, podcasts....what have you. And he has questions for Dad. ME. Opinionated ME.

I sez " Joe, here's where I'm at with these "commentators". My question to them is this: Besides give me your opinion & "insight" , what else you got?" ( 'Cause I've got my own hard earned opinions that just might be more relevant to me than yours are. It might be called "ego".)

Anyway, I sez, "Joe, what else can these guys do, Is what I want to know before I invest my time into them. Can they build or fix anything? What are their skills? From whence do they come from? Cause my head is overwhelmed with my own thoughts, can I actually squeeze their thoughts in? Can they shovel gravel? Will they if they have to? Are they healers? Or manipulators & self promoters? Are they original, copycat or just an ideologue? Can they change a flat tire?

My skills are very (very!) limited, but one of the easiest things I can do is form an opinion".

And then Joe starts asking some policy questions. Dad are you liberal or conservative? What do you think about single payer? Etc. etc

I just sez, "Joe they keep coming with fringe, piece meal "solutions" when in actuality, without sweeping changes, none of these issues will be improved upon. Just a lot sideways maneuvering."

What do you say to your kid?

I also got him a book from the library called "One Second After" about EMP's and the subsequent chaos, destruction of infrastructure/ Post Apocalypse society.

Would I want to be stranded in such a situation with Ben Shapiro, DJT, Joe Biden, Bill O'Reilly? Hell no. What good are their opinions then?

However, I am more interested in people who are able to preserve our civilizations than those determined to undermine and destroy them.
