The only likely failure would for it to have not been delivered in time but Tesla have plenty of experience with these kinds of things now. As for the economics and physics of it - all completely rock solid. I'm impressed by the savings - they must really have been getting gouged for peak standby power before. Kind of like Enron did to California.
