COVID-19 is here in the United states and spreading fast.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that all gatherings of 50 people or more be canceled.

Schools across the country have closed.

Events of all sorts are being canceled/postponed.

San Francisco is requiring that all residents remain at home. NYC is considering it and will probably implement a lock down soon.

The governor of Ohio has called off the primary election last minute to prevent people gathering in large numbers in order to vote.

Tom Perez, chairman of the democratic national committee, was asked if he agrees that the states which have decided to hold their elections today can do so safely. His response, "We respect what they are doing."

In Illinois, some polling places are closed because election judges decided not to show up. For those who are allowing voters in, they severely lack sanitation materials and training on how to keep everything clean and safe.

in Arizona, the primary is going ahead but certain polling places have been closed. Those just happen to be in poor areas and the rational is that, by closing those polling places, they are keeping people safe. In actuality, with fewer polling places available, more people show up at the ones that are open. The larger the gathering of people, the more dangerous it is.

People who are elderly should not go out and vote.
People like myself who have preexisting conditions or suppressed immune systems should not vote.
People who are likely to come into contact with elderly and/or otherwise vulnerable people should not vote.
This means that either the elections take place with drastically reduced turnout or people will be endangering themselves and others by voting, or both.

I don't see how anything resembling a fair election could possibly take place under these conditions and it seems very irresponsible to me that some leaders are encouraging this process to continue.

It is reasonable to suspect that Trump plans to undermine the election again, or simply stop it. This is Trump's version of Wag-the-Dog. Let's see how long it takes before he declares martial law.
