I have no pandemic footprint. Do you? Being alone is nothing new for me. But during this time, I feel very alone.

Incredible! Your actions and your behavior are exemplary. If everyone acted like you, it would be realistic to restrict the global pandemic. Please have a look at the recommendations below and, if possible, adjust your behavior and actions to the current situation.

'Tis a fine time to be an introvert. On the down side,I can't go to my grandson's birthday party this month and if I have to go back to Canada to take care of my mother, that's 4 weeks quarantine (2 each border crossing).

With plenty of opportunity for legitimate contact with others, I generally prefer alone.. Problem is, others appear to find that attractive. Doing some serious yardwork yesterday, folks were hiking over to visit. I wait for dark to get my mail and walk & talk to family ..by phone w/ 3 hour time difference between coasts.

Actually think I’d kick this virus’s butt … and am right now considering a volunteer ‘opportunity’ that would place me at much higher risk.. Not bored yet, still feels like a vacation ~

This is just life as normal pretty much for me, I pretty much stay home by myself 90% of the time anyway. Thanks to the Internet, I never feel lonely. In fact I have more interaction, even if it is virtual, with more people than I ever did. I actually feel less alone because I have found communities of people that think at least close to my thoughts. Something I rarely felt before, so thanks all of you on here among others on Facebook.
The only down side so far is with my Mom. She is in an independent living facility (beautiful apartment) but has not dealt well with the death of my father five years ago. She is a people person and the residence where she lives had a very active social schedule. Movies, live entertainment, ice cream socials, three meals a day etc. Due to the virus they have eliminated all of these, including only serving one meal a day which they require the residents to take out. They have also eliminated outside visitation. I usually went over two or three times a week, and we would eat out every Sunday. Since all restaurants are closed in PA, that is not going to happen for a while either. I am not sure how she is going to get through this isolation period, which could last for weeks if not months. But there is not much that can be done, given the circumstances.

It is admirable that you have no footprint.
I wish I could say the same.

I go to the market about every 3-4 weeks, and have had dental and doctor appointments recently.

@MsHoliday
Wow ... you are definitely in lock down mode.
We went to Costco on Wednesday, which would let only a limited number of people in at a time, so everyone else waited in line outside. It took about a half hour to get inside.

@AnonySchmoose In the merry old land of Oz I went to a take away noodle shop tonight. Must have been about 20 people in there.

The Aussie mentality “She be right, mate” still alive and well!

Both resilient and naive, I love these people!
