I am washing the heavy sweaters in preparation to tucking them away until late next fall. I am hoping to see more spring like weather next week and beyond. I feel a need to dig in the dirt.

Use a trowel. Digging bare handed is hell on the finger nails.
@Petter Especially as my nail salon is closed for the duration. I have to figure out how to make this do last as long as possible.
