Many people are predicting a baby boom in 9 months. I'm wondering if there won't also be a divorce boom after 9 months of isolation with only a spouse.

The divorce boom could happen quicker. 60 days in some states, maybe quicker in others. Gestation time is a little more certain.

the hospital system and the economy may be in shambles by then, I hope no one is going to make babies (not like i will get my wish). lots of people may be able to walk away from dysfunctional marriages, after the excuse about "its not financially possible" goes away

Nine days might be enough for some couples.

Murder rates up Sharply!

Are traffic deaths down yet?

Wife: “COVID-19 killed my husband.”
Cop: “Ma’am, there’s a knife lodged in his chest.”
Wife: “…”

I have heard some speculation that the sharp downturn we are already seeing will trap some in abusive relationships. Add the extra stress of pestilence, and it seems all too likely.

@alliwant unfortunatly it does seem too likely to increase - especially if this drags on.

EDIT: made the mistake of looking it up. I need to go hug my wife now.
