Danish supermarket finds a way to stop hoarding of hand sanitizer. Wish they would do it in the States.

I invite knowledgeable differing opinions to my statement.
i say that hand sanitizer for personal cleanup of viruses is not as good as soap is. Dish soap (like 'Dawn'πŸ˜‰ is best; soap dissolves the gelatinous binder of a virus (like greasy dishes.). I think that it's logical that the emolients in hand sanitizers are counterproductive to the efficacy of the alcohol in hand sanitzers. For surfaces Bleach has been excellent for previous viruses on surfaces and is cheap, but alcohol is safer for spraying on yourself. White vinegar is cheap and works for both applications (hands and surfaces) but I don't have knowledge of the relative efficacy of it.
There I stuck my neck out. Please don't be rude if you disagree.

You are absolutely correct! Soap actually surrounds the virus and kills it. Hand sanitizer doesn’t.
