Friday was a beautiful day here. I sat outside, played with the dog and cats, picked up some sticks. So nice. Yesterday, rain and cold all day. This morning, I feel the familiar pain of a sunburn on my neck.
Really! This is so unfair. I better find the aloe spray now. This may become a painful summer.
Right now I am soaking a hand towel in vinegar water to place around my neck.

Happy Sunday, Folks!

Funny how quickly we forget, how to "summer", isn't it? I hope the burn fades quickly and does not end up being too painful.

Its been twenty days and twenty nights since I've seen the sun. I have moss. You have a sunburn....Oh goody......Too warm? How am I supposed to reach my back to get the moss off? THAT'S a problem,,,,,,,,,,
And there's the slugs.....Have you seen our slugs? Goddam things are half a foot long! So, you come out of your house, slip on a goddam slug and knock the moss off your back and get a sunburn! NOW whadda do?

Dear, simmer down. Moss and slugs, eh? It has been raining here since Friday night and won't let up until next week.
By them, I will have found my sun protection.

Slug croquettes: Grind, season, add an egg to bind, deep fry & serve with a nice lemon-y hollandaise. The French call them escargot (okay, they a relative of escargot....stuff them into shells if it makes you feel better)
