Quark Science on Amazon

I am watching Series 1, Episode 1, Everything and Nothing right now, sort of reliving my physics lectures and labs. Now I wish I had paid more attention to the history of science instead of being so gung ho about the application. In my mind, I had always fancied myself to be a scientist, but really, I was an engineer.
So, this is my discovery phase; too old and decrepit to use the lasers and mirrors and CCT cameras but now introspective enough to learn the history underlying the sophisticated tools.
I highly recommend this series.

Thanks for the recommendation! My best friend of many years was a physicist. I’m fascinated by the theoretical implications, but was put off by the calculus. I may not be a scientist, but the scientific method continues to be a valuable tool for me as I tackle life.

Damn, wish I could see this, but I don't support paywalls.
